nkoda

E-music service, digital scores by several key publishers.

nkoda is only available for students and staff of the University of the Arts Helsinki (also in the library premises).

An app is needed for viewing the sheet music. Sheet music cannot be printed and screenshots cannot be taken. Sharing the screen in e.g. a Teams or Zoom meeting is also not allowed.
NB! Bypassing the block will result in your nkoda account getting locked.

Using nkoda

nkoda app is available for Apple (iOS/macOS), Android and PC (Windows 10). Sign up in nkoda, download the app on your device, and login with your e-mail and password you just created.

Sign up for nkoda

Start the sign up process by clicking this link provided by the library and continue to click "Get started".
Sign up for nkoda with your uniarts.fi email address. Please note you are creating a separate nkoda account for which you must choose a unique password different from the one you are using with your UniArts Helsinki username.
You have now signed up for nkoda. nkoda opens in a browser. When prompted confirm you are continuing as a member of Sibelius Academy.

NB! In the browser version of nkoda you can only browse catalogue. To view the sheet music you must install the nkoda app on your device.

nkoda app installation and login

Find the nkoda app from your app store and install it. You can also click on the download link provided by the browser version of nkoda.
When starting the app you'll be prompted to log in. Log in with your email address and nkoda account's password (DON'T use institution log in method). The login view might look different depending on your device.

On your first login the app asks you to confirm you phone number. Proceed as instructed.
When prompted confirm you are continuing as a member of Sibelius Academy.
